Fisker expects to produce between 13,000 and 17,000 electric vehicles in 2023, down from its prior projection of 20,000 to 23,000 vehicles, the company said after the closing bell on Monday as it released its third quarter results. Fisker's shares fell to as low as USD 3.11, on track for the biggest daily percentage decline since the company went public in 2020.

The Swedish EV maker, backed by Volvo and Geely, is already one of about 15 automakers and others including BP, Daimler and Volvo Cars who are strategic partners with StoreDot. Under the terms of the deal the two companies will collaborate on incorporating the fast-charging technology into Polestar vehicles.
"We have two cars that are almost ready. We can bring them to market fast - we just need the capacity," Fisker said, speaking to Reuters in Berlin. The CEO told Reuters in May he was exploring partnerships with everyone from suppliers to tech companies to scale up production. On Thursday, he said he was in negotiations with five "traditional car companies" and hoped to pick a partner in the coming months.
