Fury as group of foster parents are booted out of a hotel for NRL teams, along with a bride-to-be

Outrage over cancelled hotel bookings because of the arrival of NRL teams in Queensland is growing after it was revealed a foster parents' conference had been told to make way for star players.
Queensland Foster and Kinship Care, a child protection charity that provides foster homes for children who have experienced harm, was told that the conference it had organised at Twin Waters Novotel Resort on the Sunshine Coast, would need to be cancelled because the NRL had now booked the resort.
It's the same resort that kicked a bride-to-be and her family out of their rooms to make way for NRL players.

'I rang them last night and (the hotel) said ''yep'', and that we should be getting an email confirming it soon.
'I'm out and we're all out and we had about eight to ten rooms booked.'
Suzie and her daughter raced to find other accommodation to fit their guests and managed to do so after spending hours online.
But now Suzie and her daughter will be staying in separate hotels.
'Obviously my money is not good enough and the NRL is more important,' she said.
The pair had booked eight to ten rooms at the nearby Twin Waters Novotel Resort for the bridal party but were told their reservations had been cancelled for the rugby league players (stock image)

The Melbourne storm are set to arrive at their home away from home of the Sunshine Coast, as they embark on a two-week camp in the place that delivered a premiership.
The reigning NRL premiers will be in familiar surroundings, basing themselves at Twin Waters Novotel Resort, were they spent four months of the COVID-affected 2020 season.
They will train out of the Sunshine Coast Stadium which served as the club's home ground for six rounds last year.
Storm will remain on the Coast from May 14 through until May 26.
In that time the squad will play three NRL matches that include; The Magic Round game against St George Illawarra at Suncorp, the round 11 match in Canberra against Canberra Raiders on May 22 and the round 12 clash against Brisbane Broncos at Suncorp on May 27.
