This has been confirmed by ICT and National Guidance Minister, Judith Nabakooba while addressing journalists in Kampala. She said prior to its divestiture in 1997, UPTC employees who served under pensionable terms of employment were not paid due to cash flow constraints. In 2003 the employees sued the successor companies over the same and in 2018 court ordered the companies to pay staff pensions, costs, and interest.
