  The secretariat of the Labour Party in Imo State, South-East Nigeria has been sealed, by the Nigeria Police Force. This is coming barely 48 hours three legal practitioners working on election petition for the All Progressives Congress (APC), candidate in the March 18 governorship election in Rivers State, Tonye Cole, were arrested in Port-Harcourt Hotel and had their laptops and other materials confiscated.

“These actions have confirmed the information available to us of plots by the governor to plant some surrogates wearing the garments of aspirants in the party. This game plan, as archaic as it seems, has been detected and punctured, the consequences being the aggression unleashed on the party by the state government,” he said.
