Two held for overcharging April 15, 2021 FAISALABAD: Two shopkeepers were arrested and booked for overcharging of sugar on Wednesday. Sadr Assistant Commissioner (AC) Umar Maqbool checked a grocery store and found shopkeeper Anwar Mansoor selling sugar at Rs 95 per kg instead of government fixed rate Rs 84 per kg. Case was registered against the shopkeeper. Similarly shopkeeper Muhammad Zaheer was also arrested at Talha Zaheer grocery store for selling sugar at exorbitant prices.

Corona SOPs violation: 676 shopping malls, hotels, marriage halls sealed

National December 14, 2020 FAISALABAD: As many as 676 shopping malls, cafes, restaurants, hotels, marriage halls and transports have been sealed during the last week under corona S OPs. The crackdown was being carried out by the assistant commissioners on the violations of corona SOPs on the order of the Punjab government. The administration also got cases registered against 17 persons and imposed more than Rs 500,000 fine on them.
