Jigawa State Governor, Umar Namadi, has suspended the state’s Commissioner of Commerce, Alhaji Aminu Kanta, for alleged mismanagement of the iftar feeding programme fund. The Secretary to the State Government, Malam Bala Ibrahim, who made known in a statement said that Kanta was suspended pending investigation into the Iftar feeding programme in the Babura Local Government Area of the state. Ibrahim stated that the move was part of the government’s commitment to ensuring financial accountability and prudent management of public funds.
