The Sela tunnel, constructed at a cost of about Rs 825 crore, is an engineering marvel. It will provide all-weather connectivity to Tawang across Sela pass on the Balipara-Chariduar-Tawang Road in Arunachal Pradesh, a statement said.
Under the Vikshit Bharat Vikshit North East programme, Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled projects worth Rs 55,600 crore for six northeast states. For Manipur, projects worth Rs 3500 crores were launched, including Manipur Technical University, IT SEZ, football grounds, road projects, bridges, and water supply schemes.
