With the film made on a big-budget, the makers had to head for a theatrical release to recover their investments. They are even pretty confident on the film's success and are waiting for a comfortable release date for the movie. Tollywood circles speculated that Uppena will head for a theatrical release on February 5th but this will not happen. The makers are waiting for the Centre's announcement about the increase in the theatre occupancy that is expected to be out by the end of this month.
