CM Pema Khandu Outlines Bottom-to-Top Approach in Overhauling State Planning
Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu announced that the Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has sanctioned 1022 kms of roads under the Vibrant Villages Programme (VVP) for the state. The VVP aims to develop select villages in 46 blocks across 5 states, including Arunachal Pradesh, through various interventions such as livelihood generation, road connectivity, and village infrastructure.
The state government has approved 14 investment proposals worth around Rs 1,713 crore in sectors such as metal downstream, power, pharmaceuticals, plastics, food processing, and tourism. These projects will generate over 5,000 jobs across seven districts.
