Motorists are shunning hatchbacks with Honda Civic sales plunging by 74 per cent in just one year. The small car was once a top seller in Australia but in May just 132 were sold, a sharp drop from the 503 that left showrooms during the same month in 2020, new Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries data showed. The Ford Focus also bled with only 87 finding a home last month, down 48 per cent from 167 a year earlier.
