Delhi Primary Schools To Remain Shut Till 10 Nov Amid Severe Air Pollution
For the fourth consecutive day, the air quality in Delhi remained in the 'Severe' category on Sunday. According to the data issued by SAFAR-India, the air quality in the Lodhi Road area was recorded at 385 (Very Poor) while the Delhi University area stands at 456 (Severe).
Amid the spike in air pollution, Delhi Environment Minister and AAP leader Gopal Rai said on Sunday that the stubble burning in Punjab does not have as much impact on the national capital as the smoke coming from farm fires in Haryana and UP.
While Delhi topped the list, with an AQI of 483 at 7.30 am today, Kolkata and Mumbai were among the top five worst-hit cities by air pollution with an AQI of 206 and 162 respectively
Overall Air Quality Index (AQI) recorded at 410 against 504 on Saturday, as per the System of Air Quality Forecasting and Research (SAFAR-India).
