Former EFF student organisation member Bonginkosi Khanyile has likened red berets leader Julius Malema to apartheid-era Bantustan leader Kaiser Matanzima.
On Wednesday the EFF joined its former branch secretary Victor Ramerafe to open a criminal case against Nhlanhla Lux at the Dobsonville police station.
The red berets accused members of the movement of ransacking Ramerafe's home at the weekend and falsely accusing him of dealing in drugs.
