The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Bola Tinubu, has committed yet another public blunder, while promising that Nigerian students will spend eight years for their tertiary education if he is elected as the country’s president in the forthcoming elections. The former Lagos State Governor stated this at the APC presidential rally in Osogbo on Thursday, February 2, 2023, telling students to call him a bastard if he didn’t fulfil his promise.

Angry supporters of Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), have set his campaign face caps ablaze at the front of the Enugu residence of the Anambra born-business billionaire, Prince Arthur Eze. The angry supporters said Atiku promised to give them the sum of N20 million but failed to fulfill his promise.

Armed thugs on Wednesday afternoon invaded and attacked supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) during the party’s rally at Oworonshoki community in the Kosofe Local Government Area of Lagos State, Southwest Nigeria. An eyewitness told SaharaReporters that the thugs, armed with weapons stormed the rally venue and chased people away while personnel of the Nigeria Police Force watched without taking any action against the hoodlums.

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, on Saturday in Lokoja, Kogi State capital during his presidential campaign rally goofed again when he asked his supporters to vote for the ruling opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming general elections.  Addressing his supporters during the campaign, Atiku told Nigerians that if they want the next government to benefit them, they should vote for APC before he quickly corrected himself and said PDP. 

A businessman, Nelson Chijindu, has narrated how some Nigerian policemen stationed along the Nkpolu axis in the Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State assaulted and shot at him while driving along the road. Narrating his ordeal, Chijindu said he narrowly escaped death as a result of heavy beatings from the policemen. In a video seen by SaharaReporters, the businessman was kicked from behind by a policeman while he was in conversation with another officer during the stop-and-search.
