Ratusan Pemuka Agama di Indonesia Meninggal di Tengah COVID-19

Pondok pesantren tersebut sekarang dikelola oleh generasi keempat dari keluarga Ali Maksum.
Maya Fitria adalah salah seorang dari generasi keempat tersebut, yang sekarang menjadi Sekretaris Yayasan Ali Maksum Pondok Pesantren Krapyak, Yogyakarta.
Menurut Maya, titik balik dari kesadaran para pengasuh pondok adalah ketika ibu Maya sendiri, Nyai Hanifah Ali meninggal dunia bulan November lalu karena COVID-19.
"Sebelumnya memang para kyai di sini masih kurang mematuhi protokol kesehatan, setelah ibu saya meninggal, baru semua lebih serius mengikuti aturan yang kita terapkan di pondok," kata Maya.
Banyak orang kehilangan rujukan
Maya mengatakan di tiga pondok pesantren di Krapyak ada empat tokoh senior yang meninggal selama pandemi dan dua di antaranya postif COVID.

The Lil' Brooklyn Neighborhood Initiative in New Iberia held their fourth annual community celebration tonight.
Volunteers from Buckingham Road Church of Christ in Texas offered a helping hand this week, they say, by painting two houses in the neighborhood.
Now, the Lil' Brooklyn neighborhood has a total of 15 houses painted.
"Everybody in this community matters, and we want people to be known, seen, be verbal, and to have a voice. We going to work hard together and we're going to celebrate together. That's what this is about," said one event attendee.
