When we come on the audience goes up. we are called appointment viewing. people come in to see us thank god they do. katie couric was simply not strong enough on the desk i will give you three examples, walter cronkite, peter jennings and walter r. murrow. all extremely strong personalities. for some reason middle america, which is mostly what watches the evening news wants a strong authoritative presence on that desk. and i don't think ms. couric was perceived to be that, that's my theory. >> this is the gravitas argue and the argument that she didn't have the weight to bring in the ought yen...
