Announcing High Flying Martha’s Vineyard: An Aerial Arts + Yoga Retreat
Oops, I did it again — I inappropriately shoe-horned Britney Spears lyrics into a blog post about an upcoming retreat! But
also, I released another 2021 retreat after claiming that Wander Women Hudson Valley would be our last release for the year. Recently, we made the difficult decisions to postpone all three Isreal retreats we had originally planned for 2020, and then delayed to 2021 — and now have had to
again push to 2022.
My heart ached. But my amazing friend, aerial inspiration and retreat partner Brenna Bradbury, who I created two out of the three Israel retreats with, inspired me to think closer to home. So many of our guests were as bummed as we were to give up their Memorial Day plans. So, we dug deep and whipped something up in record time: High Flying Martha’s Vineyard, a Memorial Day escape from May 28-31, 2021!

Learning to Fly: My Review of Ulu Yoga’s Aerial Yoga Instructor Course
Where we’re at: I’m recapping my travels in 2020, including this trip to Koh Phangan in February 2020.
After completing my 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in New York in 2018, my head was spinning with asanas and anatomy and uncertainty. Does
anyone graduate from their introductory training feeling ready to take on the yoga world?! I know I didn’t! But I
did know one thing for sure: I was thrilled to begin my yoga teaching journey, and hooked on trainings to deepen my knowledge and experience.
I vowed to do one a year to keep my mind fresh. In 2019, I did a Buti Yoga 30 Hour Bands + Sculpt Training in New York, and then, in 2020, enrolled in ULU Yoga’s 50 Hour Aerial Yoga Teacher Training in Koh Phangan, Thailand. Aerial yoga had long been a passion of mine for its ability to decompress the spine, support and deepen traditional yoga asanas, and bring some fun and whimsy into a studio setting.

My Fifth Trip to Israel, Home of My Heart in The Middle East
Where we’re at: I’m recapping my travels in 2020, including this trip to Israel in February 2020.
It had all started to become comfortingly familiar — the exact gate the daily Newark to Tel Aviv flight departed from, the recitation of pre-boarding announcement in English and Hebrew, the familiar mix of blue-haired Christian pilgrims, families of Hasidic Jews, and bored-looking hipster Tel Avivians crowding the boarding area.
But this time, something was different. An ominous sounding announcement warned that we would not be allowed in Israel if our passports showed evidence of travel to China in the last two weeks, and we each had to go up for a one-by-one inspection, adding to the chaos of the additional security that all flights landing in Israel must undergo before their departure. Israel was one of the first countries in the world to enact any kind of border restrictions, and at the time it felt dramatic — and seemed to put everyone on edge.

• “I have a pretty good idea of how my year is going to look — a much more detailed view than usual.” Well, that is just straight L.O.L.
• “One thing is for sure — it’s going to be an epic year of adventures, including at least two new countries, one new state, and a bunch of longtime dreams coming true.” HAAAAAAAAAA. (Actually I did go to the new state, and one new country, but the overall sentiment is pretty hysterical.)
