Activision is embroiled in a trademark lawsuit with the developer of a strategy game called Warzone.
The mega-publisher filed a suit seeking a declaration that Activision's use and registration of the trademark's Warzone and Call of Duty Warzone do not infringe on the trademark rights relating to the free-to-play, turn-based Warzone strategy game.
Warzone the strategy game came out in 2017. Activision's battle royale launched three years later, in 2020.

The suit, filed on 8th April in the US District Court for the Central District of California, comes in response to a threat of litigation from Randy Ficker, the Washington-based developer of Warzone.

MIAMI Heat's Meyers Leonard has been fined $50,000 after shouting an anti-Semitic remark in a Twitch livestream.
The player has also been suspended from all Heat facilities and team activities for one week.

Footage heard the 29-year-old reportedly saying: "F**king coward. Don’t f**king snipe me, you f**king k**e b***h."
Leonard said on Wednesday in a statement posted to Instagram: "I'm deeply sorry for using an anti-Semitic slur during a livestream yesterday.
"While I didn't know what the word meant at the time, my ignorance about its history and how offensive it is to the Jewish community is absolutely not an excuse and I was just wrong.

The Miami Heat player faced condemnation from his team over the video
US basketball player Meyers Leonard has apologised after using an anti-Semitic slur during an online game stream.
The comment was made during a Call of Duty game on Twitch on Monday.
In an Instagram statement, Leonard said he was sorry and said he had not known what the word meant when he used it.
His team has criticised the player and said he will be "away from the team indefinitely". They also pledged to co-operate with a National Basketball Association (NBA) investigation.
