My Less Than Epic Weekend After Testing Positive

Well this was definitely an unforgettable Epic Weekend In Pictures. Friday morning I learned of myself testing Positive for Covid-19. I used the at home Pixel Labcorp test which I highly recommend. I was able to get it for free from Sussex County Division Health department. Once I was exposed to a colleague at work who tested Positive, I wanted to test myself despite being symptom free out of an abundance of caution. I'm very grateful I tested myself. I would rather at least know I have it and stay away from everyone as opposed to accidentally spreading the virus.

X-Men Meets Adopt A Pet Of The Week!

Thank you so much to my rock star friends at Father John's Animal House for working so hard with me to still pull off my Pet Of The Week. I have come down with an awful sinus infection this week, and my doctor wanted me to get a Covid test. I found out last night that I fortunately tested Negative, but am still going to exercise with an abundance of caution today.
I would like you to meet my special Adopt A Pets Of The Week. This is the first time we have ever had X-Men meet my Pet Of The Week! These sweet 7 year old kitties have been at Father John's Animal House since early January.

My Epic Weekend In Pictures: A Neti Pot?

This Epic Weekend In Pictures may not have been my most epic, but we still had fun all along the way. It was another one of those other weekends, so I didn't get to see Awesome Girlfriend Megan. Fortunately I'm blessed with so many wonderful friends who can help make me smile when I don't get to see her. We'll start my Epic Weekend with Thursday.
Thursday night I swung by The Cottage in Franklin, and ran into some of my terrific friends. Artie, Scott and I were having fun while Damian showed us some new whiskeys he has acquired. Naturally, Artie and I were intrigued especially by the single malt. Artie bought us a round and we enjoyed how smooth it was. I definitely recommend the single malt from Glendalough Distillery. Great way to start off the weekend for sure!

My Epic Weekend In Pictures: No Shoveling Accomplished

Though it may have been one of me less than Epic Weekends, I still had some fun along the way. We will start this Epic Weekend In Pictures with my Adopt A Pet Of The Week. Due to the snowstorm we had on Thursday, I pushed back Pet Of The Week back to Friday afternoon. The wait turned out to be more than well worth it. My Pet Of The Week is named Bunny. She's a 1 year old pit mix who was found abandoned and alone in a hotel/motel room in Budd Lake. We don't even know how long she was alone. Despite what has happened to her, she is one of the most loving pets we have had on my show. Behind the scenes, it was tough to get my picture with her because she kept trying to kiss me and hug me the whole time she was here. I really hope we can help Bunny get her new Furever Family this week. I'll keep you posted if I hear any good news on that front.

My Epic Power Outage Weekend In Pictures.

Well, this holiday weekend ended up being much more Epic than I originally planned. It was a President's Day / Valentine's Day weekend we won't ever forget. There were times it was a bittersweet weekend. The past few years, I have had my parents visit me here in Jersey to enjoy President's Day Weekend so we can watch skiers from my deck. I have told them I learned shortly after moving here 7 years ago that President's Day is one of the biggest ski weekends and weeks all year long. They always laughed and said I was making up holidays as an excuse to get them to visit me. Then a couple years ago they saw first hand how fun it can be to watch skiers from my deck on a beautiful winter day. The people watching can be such comedy gold, especially hearing their conversations on the chair lift.

My Epic Super Weekend In Pictures, While Delivering Oil.

Well this was certainly an Epic Weekend we will not be forgetting anytime soon. I always say the other, in every other weekends without Awesome Girlfriend Megan are tough. I'm so lucky to have many friends who help keep me company and make me laugh along the way. This weekend included some wild and new adventures, while maintaining some usual fun routines as well. We will start my Epic Weekend In Pictures with my Friday afternoon.
We started this last year, and it was a huge success. We call it "Warm Wishes," where you tell us about a local family going through some tough times, and they can win a free tank of heating oil fuel from our friends at Hart & Iliff. Last year was my first year attempting to assist and learn how to be an oil delivery person. The results were mixed as expected. I almost wanted to put oil in a wrong tank. Whoops. This year I assisted and it went slightly smoother. It's one of my many favorite things we get to do on our radio station, helping sweet local families stay warm. We did this oil delivery in downtown Newton on a busy street right near the center. Delivering oil after 32 inches of snow last week, you get to see some of the many challenges these folks on a daily basis. Unreal. I'm not going to lie, my blood was pumping a little bit on this one due to the challenges we were facing. By we, I mean Rich of course, who really did all of the hard work on this mission. Thank you to Hart & Iliff for always being patient with me!

Sunday it was time for our farewell beer at The Cottage in Franklin. I always hate Sundays when Meg has to go back to Hackettstown. We enjoyed our beer together, and then Meg left to go back to Hackettstown. I was feeling a little sad, fortunately more and more of our friends started showing up and they helped cheer me up a little. I was happy to be at home on my couch, in pajama pants, by 4:30 watching more playoff football. I was happy to cheer on Tom Brady and see them win their game. Even though Tom is no longer a Patriot, I'll always root for the guy who gave us 20 amazing years.

My Epic Weekend In Pictures: Bring On The Food

It wasn't my most traveled Epic Weekend In Pictures, but we still made many fun memories. Weekends without Awesome Girlfriend Megan are always tough, but fortunately I'm so lucky to have my amazing friends help me along the way. Friday night I had a wonderful time with some of my besties at Kite's. We were at a high top table where they used to have a dance floor during normal times. Me, JG, Jasen, Brendan and Carrie all shared many laughs.
Last Wednesday morning, I found myself suddenly limping out of bed without any warning. I somehow pulled a muscle in my Caboose again! For some strange reason, my Caboose was sore and my left ring finger was extremely swollen. While talking to my friends about it, trying to piece things together, it appears I may have been sleepwalking and fallen. I remember sleepwalking when I was kid, didn't think that I still had an issue with it. I know I don't when Awesome Girlfriend Megan is over, because she would alert me / help me / wake me up. Wednesday morning I called up my friends at Trinity Rehab in Sparta for an urgency appointment. Jen went right to work on me. She couldn't believe the amount of damage I apparently did to myself in just one night. She was stretching me out for many minutes trying to help the pain in my Caboose. You just can't even make up the comedy gold that I pulled a muscle in my Caboose again. Jen gave me Electric Stimulators that we put, you guessed it, right on my Caboose. I was literally limping on my way into Trinity Rehab in Sparta. After the work they did with me, I wasn't limping anymore and increased my mobility by 75%. Huge improvement over when I woke up earlier that day.
