Here's Our Best Look Yet at Porsche's Taycan Cross Turismo

We first saw the car as a concept in 2018.
The prototypes have been run on racetracks, proving grounds, and yes, even off road.
Porsche’s Taycan Cross Turismo is completing its last development drives, an extensive testing program that has taken the newest Taycan to the Nürburgring-Nordschleife, the Hockenheim Grand Prix circuit, proving grounds and off the beaten path in the south of France, the Pyrenees, and an Africa-inspired off road track at the company’s Weissach Development Center. All told the car performed 620,352 testing miles, or 25 laps around the world measured at the equator.
The Cross Turismo has all-wheel drive and an adjustable ride height via the air suspension. The Cross Turismo’s extended roofline is obviously the biggest change compared to the sedan. Porsche says every detail was sweated to make the wagon interior as practical as possible, with engineers spending 650 hours on design, electronic and coordination on mocking up an accurate phys ....

Porsche Details Taycan Cross Turismo's Testing Regime Before March 4 Launch

Porsche has provided us with an insight into the testing program of the Taycan Cross Turismo before the vehicle is unveiled on March 4.
While one could be excused for thinking the Cross Turismo is simply a Taycan with a different rear end, Porsche has tested the car for 998,361 km (620,352 miles) in some of the world’s harshest environments, including the Pyrenees and Africa. It has also been tested at the Nurburgring Nordschleife, Hockenheimring, Nardo, and at Porsche’s Weissach Development Center.
In the last six weeks, the Taycan Cross Turismo embarked on a test tour with media representatives in the five largest markets for the car, the U.S., UK, Norway, the Netherlands, and Germany. The car has also underwent 325 hours of testing in the wind tunnel, where the Taycan saloon had already spent 1,500 hours. ....
