The country will not face a food shortage and India's restriction on wheat export will not affect Bangladesh, Food Minister Sadhan Chandra Majumder says.
Officials say that following procurement of the ongoing local harvest, Egyptian wheat reserves would be sufficient until the end of the year, reports Reuters.
Exports would be allowed only in case of shipments where irrevocable Letter of Credit (LoC) has been issued on or before May 13.
