WORCESTER This week, the Worcester Chapter of the NAACP reacted to no charges being filed against the officer who shot Jacob S. Blake and the siege on the U.S. Capitol, as well as news closer to home. In a press release, the Worcester chapter addressed Blake, a 29-year-old Black man, who was shot and seriously injured by police officer Rusten Sheskey on Aug. 23 in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Sheskey shot at Blake’s back seven times when Blake opened the driver’s door to his SUV and leaned in. Three of Blake’s sons were in the backseat at the time. It was announced this week that Sheskey would not face any criminal charges. ....
