My kids range from 6 to 15 and we bring somebody with me back and forth to d.c. every week. i tweet about being a dad and educating my kids on the road and they want to talk about that to see how can their kids get tough work experiences. as i travel, people would say, how can my kids suffer, too? we want to toughen them up. trying to get my kids to clean their room. so when people come to you with a cultural dilemma and say we re not who we were anymore sasse. i don t like this idea of it s okay to love whoever you want and be whatever gender that you want to be and go wherever you want, that s not who we are and i don t like it. what is the line between conserving a core value? i think we re doing two ....
Who birthed these softer parents? how did we become soft as parents? so a whole bunch of things have happened. some of them are good things. this is just one of the unfortunate by products. we live at the richest time in the richest place in human history. so our kid have been insulated from a lot of necessity that a lot of previous generations knew. a lot of kid are insulated from the development of a work ethic. we parents and grandparents need to work harder to get them productive work experiences because we all need to be toughened up when we go from 10 to 1 to 14 and 16. we are not tending to that habits formation aspect of coming to age. brian: still is the generation of fighting forces in the history of man. capability is there. we want it more persuasive except for those who become a navy seal. why explain this. when i was little mom would have detailed list of chores. when i arrived at college basically everyone with whom i became friend wide group of socioeconomic backgroun ....
Degree you re out of luck. it used to be a high school degree could provide you a middle-class income. not so anymore. yeah. there are very few places in the united states now where you can have a normal way of life on a nonuniversity education. there are some that are still i m going look at this next in my work. it is very rare now. and you re right, it s a catch 22 all around. do you go to school, don t they, what s going to help them? when they get jobs, is there any area in which they re finding them? well one thing that i am finding is that the students are going to universities, for example, northeastern, and by the way i have no relationship with northeastern, but they involve thing like work experience, as parts of going to school. so it s it nixes things like real-life work experience with classes it mixes things like real-life work experiences with classes. those students are finding it much easier to get jobs. whatever a student does, they want to look for a pro ....
