Imogen would be okay with that, right? i ll be absolutely fine at the moment. is there anybody in government who is dealing with this at all that you have any trust in at all? the issue of principal rightdowns have been on and off the table. there was supposed to be something for the main street as well. it didn t happen. we had a few plans to write down the levels of mortgage rates that the households were paying, but that really didn t work. households are continuing to live in their homes, repaying mortgages, as long as the home equity is positive. so it s about principal write-downs, bringing down interest rates by a percentage or half percentage point really will not do it. i don t think anyone is taking it on in a big way, therefore we need to at least reconsider this issue seriously. ....

These are the same companies a couple of months ago after the bill was passed that they will have to take the huge write downs. the cost to their businesses were going to be tense, millions of dollars. democrats in congress took issue with this. henry waxman announced he would hold hearings and call these companies to account. he ended up canceling those hearings, because he realized that what the companies were telling the american people were true. now the companies are saying this is going to cost us way too much to go down the road of coverage, it s actually going to cost us less to dump our employees coverage and pay the fine instead. that also puts lies to what the president said, the objective of this which was to cover as many people as possible. gregg: if congress postpones as they have three times now the planned medicare cuts upon which the healthcare calculus was based will that effectively negate the president s other promise that this new law will reduce deficits? repo ....
