Joy to all of you in the new year, as we get past the chagrin of holiday overeating and inactivity.I am a Type 2 diabetic, and have been for more than 20 years. It’s never interfered with eating whatever I want. My mom was diabetic and lost her vision to it. What I’m saying is: I eat with awareness that overindulgence will have a cost. Food is love, but I don’t want to go blind.In the season of cookie-baking and holiday treats, I was forced to be brutally honest with myself.
