Road minister Nitin Gadkari has confirmed that a separation wall is provided in the Silkyara bi-directional tunnel at different intervals for vehicles and pedestrians for escape purposes during emergencies. The tunnel is under construction on the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) mode, with design responsibility lying with the EPC contractor.
