Cellphone shop owner in SG fined for using customer data without consent to register, sell SIM cards illegally
A cellphone store owner has been fined S$21,000 (RM64,715) by the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) after he used customers’ details without consent to register prepaid SIM cards, which he then sold to others.
