JOHANNSBURG - The IFP has welcomed Prince Misuzulu's nomination for the new Zulu King.
The party says the wisdom of late regent, Queen Mantfombi Dlamini Zulu, was evident again. Her will was read out last night and she named Prince Misuzulu as successor.
IFP President Velenkosini Hlabisa says he is looking forward to the Prince's coronation. He also paid tribute to traditional Prime Minister of the Amazulu nation Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi for his role in securing peace and continuity.

Nongoma - The newly nominated King of the Zulu nation, Prince Misuzulu, was on Friday evening whisked out of a tense meeting of royals after one Prince Thokozani challenged his appointment.
Earlier, Queen Regent Mantfombi Dlamini Zulu’s will had named Prince Misuzulu, as the next king of the Zulu nation, should he accept the nomination.
The reading of the will was broadcast live on television, with Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi, the traditional prime minister of the Zulu nation, canvassing the signed will to some members of the royal family.

Nongoma â The memorial service of the late Zulu Queen Regent, Mantfombi Dlamini-Zulu, was briefly interrupted on Friday morning when energetic Zulu regiments ushered Prince Misuzulu into a marquee hosting VIPs mourners.
The commotion started minutes before 11am, when the regiments led by princes escorted Misuzulu to the tent, pushing their way ahead. Metres before they reached the marquee, they stopped, chanting traditional Zulu songs and were joined by Zulu maidens who also chanted their own songs.
Noticeably, Prince Misuzulu, who is tipped to be announced as the next Zulu king later today or tomorrow, was dressed like his father, the late King Goodwill Zwelithini. He was also under heavy security protection from bodyguards in suits.

Nongoma –Just like her late husband, recently departed Zulu Queen Regent, Mantfombi Dlamini-Zulu, will be buried at night and in the Kwakhangelamankengane Palace in Nongoma, northern KZN.
The private burial of the 65-year-old daughter of the late King Sobhuza II of Eswatini and sister of King Mswati III, will take place in private and in the thick of dawn (all Swati royals are buried like this) on Thursday.
Announcing the funeral’s details this morning, Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi, the traditional prime minister to the king and the Zulu nation, said a memorial service will take place on the following day, Friday.
