She said it’s burning a couple of miles east of the footprint of last year’s devastating Archie Creek Fire. “The community is not recovered from the Archie Creek Fire last year,” Sichting said. “A lot of people are still very traumatized. And so when you start seeing smoke in the air in brings back a lot of bad memories of last year because that was just an awful awful experience for so many people.” Evacuation notices are in place and part of highway 138 is closed.
