ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. Many around the world will not be able to celebrate the way they’d like to on Thursday night. Health leaders are urging people to stay safe on New Year’s Eve and follow all the COVID-19 health precautions, which include wearing masks, social distancing and staying home.
For a lot of people, ringing in the new year is going to be a strange occasion not unlike Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and other holidays in 2020.
There will not be crowds of people out in New Mexico like in years past.
The same holds true for Times Square in New York, though the ball will still drop at midnight.
