Apr 5, 2021 8:41 AM
CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. ― Governor Eric Holcomb announced recently that the state mask mandate and other restrictions will end on Tuesday, April 6, leaving the option open for local officials to implement greater restrictions if they are determined to be warranted. Gov. Holcomb has still asked that Indiana residents continue to exercise caution and follow CDC guidance to limit the spread of Covid-19.
Montgomery County Commissioners and Crawfordsville Mayor Todd Barton were recently briefed on the latest Covid-19 data, capacity of the healthcare system, and projections by Montgomery County Health Officer Dr. Scott Douglas. After carefully reviewing local data, current healthcare capacity, and an in-depth discussion, the County Commissioners and Mayor Barton have, at this time, collectively not chosen to enact greater restrictions in Crawfordsville and Montgomery County than those set by Gov. Holcomb and the Indiana State Department of Health.

Mar 3, 2021 9:06 AM
HomesteadCS is proud to announce that they are the recipients of a $35,000.00 grant from State Farm Insurance Company.
HomesteadCS will use State Farm’s donation to continue their efforts to help families avoid foreclosures and evictions in 10 Indiana Counties including, Tippecanoe, Benton, Boone, Carroll, Clinton, Fountain, Montgomery, Putnam, Warren and White. The Consumer Financial Protections Bureaus just announced that 11 million families (nearly 10% of households) are in danger of losing their homes due to COVID19. Our programs are part of the solution to that dire prediction. We expect the need for these programs to grow even larger as delayed evictions and foreclosures begin to reach the court system.

Negele discusses proposed wind, solar farm standards

A bill that would set state standards for commercial wind and solar farms aims to strike a balance between local control and Indiana’s need for renewable energy, the measure’s co-author said.
Debate over House Bill 1381, co-written by State Rep. Sharon Negele (R-Attica) was among the topics discussed Saturday at a virtual legislative roundtable sponsored by the Crawfordsville/Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce.
The bill proposes default rules for developers on the installation and siting of wind turbines and solar panels, and is intended to stop counties from banning development of renewable energy projects.

Montgomery County will remain in the Red Advisory Level

Crawfordsville, IN, USA / WCDQ Country 106.3 FM | Country Music
Jan 26, 2021 5:06 PM
CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. ― The Montgomery County Health Department would like to remind residents that Montgomery County will remain in the Red Advisory Level, despite anticipated changes to the color-coded county map on the Indiana State Department of Health’s COVID-19 online dashboard.
Montgomery County is expected to drop out of the Red Zone when the dashboard map reflecting the Weekly Two-Metric Score is updated Wednesday. Still, Montgomery County will continue in the Red Advisory Level for at least one more week in accordance with an Executive Order signed in December and extended by Governor Eric Holcomb last week. The Executive Order requires a county to remain in a less restrictive color zone (orange, yellow or blue) for at least two weeks before the Red Advisory Level mitigation measures and restrictions are removed.
