Owen Wilson has been spending plenty of time soaking in the local scene as he films the new independent movie Paint.
The latest Owen Wilson sighting took place this past Sunday at the Spa City Farmer s Market at Saratoga Spa State Park. One of the vendors at the market, Feathered Antler, posted this photo to their Instagram with the actor:
The Zoolander and Marley and Me star has been in Saratoga and other locales shooting scenes for the new independent film Paint where he plays a Vermont artist who loses his television show to a younger painter. Wilson has been seen filming in various Spa City locations and in North Greenbush, and was even spotted enjoying a pipe at a Saratoga local smoke shop. The best part about many of the photos that have been popping up is Wilson is typically in character in his full get-up, complete with a 70 s era Bob Ross style afro and throwback leather jacket.

“Wedding Crashers” star Owen Wilson is filming a new movie in Upstate New York.
Albany radio station WGNA reports the Oscar-nominated writer and actor was spotted Sunday at the Spa City Farmer’s Market at Saratoga Spa State Park, near where he’s filming the indie comedy “Paint.” He posed for a photo with Feathered Antler vendor Gretchen Louise Tisch, an artist based in Saratoga Springs.

We might as well begin with “beyond.” Really I know that my roots come out of the Beat movement. My roots come out of there in the way that all of our roots are intertwined, there, not so much in New York but in San Francisco, where I was born, in the Mission District. I grew up in San Jose, California, in a place that was incredibly liberating in that what? what’s poetry from San Jose? It defied definition; it wasn’t a school, it wasn’t a certain way of writing. It was this incredible freedom to do and sound like anything you want. To me this idea, this linking to the Beats is much like the use of one of those Tibetan meditation gongs that you take up to the top of the mountain, you sound it like you sound this poetry. Not that I write like that, or anyone else writes like each other; but instead this tone dissolves the language and you travel out on it. You send your soul out in this thing, this go
