SAN DIEGO COUNTY, Calif. Schools aren’t exactly known for their expansive budgets. Many struggle to pay for basic operations such as functioning air conditioning and employee salaries.
But this past year, cybercriminals have attacked a growing number of schools across California and the country. A handful of California schools, colleges and universities have experienced ransomware attacks, often with harsh consequences: Sierra College had some systems shut down during finals week, Newhall School District’s 10 elementary schools went a week without online school during the pandemic, and UC San Francisco paid a $1.14 million ransom.

Healthcare agency announces relaunch 12 months after management buy-out
Healthcare communications agency Create Health has announced a relaunch under a new creativity banner – ‘Creativity is the Cure’.
Create Health works with brands including Thermo Fisher Scientific, ConvaTec, BD and HOYA and timed the relaunch to coincide with a virtual event headlined by TedX talker and ex-global marketer Anne Thistleton.
The relaunch was announced 12 months after the Create Health management buy-out that was led by managing director Ed Hudson (pictured above, left) and creative director Phil Blackmore (pictured above, right).
“We firmly believe that Creativity is the Cure for the future of healthcare communications – it s behind everything we do at Create Health, and we’re really excited to share this more widely,” said Blackmore.
