Jon Bellem likes to help others, so last week following the latest blow to Pennsylvania’s restaurant industry he picked up the phone.
The Lemoyne resident spent all day talking to restaurant owners, managers and chefs, seeking referrals for individuals needing financial help.
“Tell me if you have certain employees who are hurting?” he would ask, whether it be an employee who needs a rent check or cell phone bill covered. “Out of the 60 phone calls I made, everyone said yes,” Bellem said.
