A 280-bedroom Holiday Inn and 262-bedroom Ibis Budget are targeted to complete in 2022 after the construction and engineering group reached the highest point on both projects.
The schemes form part of the £250m hotel district within the £1bn Airport City masterplan that is being delivered by Airport City Limited Partnership, a joint venture between Beijing Construction Engineering Group International, Manchester Airports Group and the Greater Manchester Pension Fund.
In total, the hotel district is to deliver 2,400 hotel rooms across nine properties within the wider 5m sq ft masterplan.
The contractor started building the Ibis and Holiday Inn hotels in January 2020 having been awarded a £45m construction contract.

New Holiday Inn at Manchester Airport will have terrace overlooking the airfield
A new hotel at Manchester s Airport City is nearing completion - and its guests will soon be able to relax on a terrace overlooking the airfield.
The sixth floor of the new Holiday Inn will give guests a ringside seat to the airfield, and the sight of a majestic A380 soaring into the blue.
Construction on the 280-bed Holiday Inn is coming to an end alongside the completion of a new Ibis Budget.
Hundreds of thousands of people have marched in solidarity with us against the issue of state sanctioned brutality. Systemic change is long overdue.
At least 441 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have died in custody since the Royal Commission handed down its finding in 1991. These aren’t just numbers to us: these are our Elders, mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers and children.
No police officer or authority has ever been held criminally responsible. The legal system is so entrenched with systemic racism that Aboriginal people are the most incarcerated people in the world. Yet when one of our loved ones dies in the custody of police officers, prison guards or medical officers, there is no accountability.
