A fire in Natick claimed the life of a man trapped inside early Tuesday.
Authorities responded to the blaze on Longfellow Road around 2 a.m., according to WCVB. They learned on arrival that one person had not made it out safely.
“The wife came out screaming for help,” a neighbor told the news station. “One of the other neighbors, I guess, heard her and saw the fire and called 911. We came down and it was fully engulfed.”
The man was found dead in the back of the home, Natick Fire Chief Mike Lentini told WHDH.
Firefighters had to battle the flames from outside the building because of how strong it was. The victim of the fire has not been publicly identified.
