Late Sunday night, the Camden Police Department (CPD) announced it had arrested Thomas Dwayne Knotts, 43, who was arrested at a Kershaw Highway, Camden residence where he was living with family members, in connection with a Sunday morning house fire on Lyttleton Street where firefighters found two deceased people. So far, the CPD has charged Knotts with two counts each of murder and kidnapping, and one count each of second-degree arson and use of a vehicle without owner’s consent. In a statement released just after 11 p.m. Sunday, the CPD said Knotts was acquainted with the victims and that more charges are pending.
