US gov't pays tribute to three Filipina law enforcers on International Women's Day – Manila Bulletin

The United States’ Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement office in Manila (INL) on Monday paid tribute to three Filipina law enforcement officers for their contributions and help in maintaining peace across the Philippines.
The three honorees presented in the video were P/Lt. Col. Kimberly Molitas, chief, Public Community Relations, PNP Highway Patrol Group; Donelyn Hemedez, assistant regional director of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Region VI, and P/Maj. Ofelia Valdez, chief, Field Training Program Section, PNP Directorate for Human Resource and Doctrine Development.
The tribute video, which was posted on the U.S. Embassy’s social media page, coincides with the observance of International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month.

United States helps bolster Philippines' capacity to combat wildlife crime

MANILA, Jan. 22 --- On January 22, U.S. Embassy in the Philippines’ Office of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) Director Kelia Cummins joined Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Undersecretary Ernesto Adobo, Jr., DENR Biodiversity Management Bureau Officer-in-Charge and Assistant Director Amelita DJ. Ortiz, and United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) Global Programme for Combatting Wildlife and Forest Crime Regional Coordinator Giovanni Broussard for the virtual turnover of 400 Rapid Reference Guides (RRG) and 30 electronic tablets to authorities for use in the investigation and prosecution of wildlife crime in the Philippines.

MANILA, Philippines — Officials of the United States embassy have pledged to help the Supreme Court (SC) strengthen its Judicial Integrity Board (JIB).
The US embassy’s International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs country director Kelia Cummins and INL legal specialist Chudney Ngo yesterday made a virtual courtesy call on Chief Justice Diosdado Peralta.
During their meeting, Peralta updated the embassy officials on his 10-point program that includes the reinvigoration of the JIB that aims to strengthen the integrity and prevent corruption in the judiciary.
