A MAN has admitted he regrets building his entire identity around his large waxed moustache. 
Jack Browne of Bristol has an impressive moustache along with moustache-themed clothing, home decor, dinnerware and a host of moustache-grooming products, most of which are now largely redundant.
He said: “It’s really an impressive moustache. People used to say that to me. Now I say it to myself, in the mirror, trying to hold back tears.
“The thing is, having a physical attribute that people remark on was as good as a personality in the old world. In lockdown, it’s just a comedy Zoom filter that you can’t remove.

What prompted you to start The Grooming Lab?
The idea to set it up came from a personal experience. My husband was growing his beard back in 2017 and I did not come across too many grooming products that would support his new look, thereby identifying a gap that resulted in the birth of The Grooming Lab. Also, men were not exposed to many grooming brands. The barbershops and pharmacies had more mass-market grooming brands, hence the gap for niche exclusive brands was available and ours to fulfil. Four years down the road, we now distribute four men’s brands covering all aspects of men’s grooming, from beard and shaving to hairstyling, and now more importantly, brands dedicated to men’s skincare.

It has been another busy week for the team from Jak Ropa as they spread Christmas cheer around the borough by lighting up prominent buildings in suitably festive colours.
Among the places lit up by the promotions company was Fraser Dawbarns in Tuesday Market Place, Lynn, on yesterday and the Dabbling Duck public house in Great Massingham, which got the treatment on Wednesday evening.
Previously in the week, the Majestic Cinema in Tower Street, Lynn, and Captain Fawcett’s premises in Fresian Way, Lynn, were illuminated, as were Letheringsett Mill and Titchwell Manor Hotel.

Male grooming is having a moment. Across the world, restrictions designed to curb the spread of the coronavirus, followed by a reticence to return to barbershops, have led to a boom in online demand for men’s grooming products.

A survey by Money.co.uk has revealed that online searches for “best beard trimmer to cut hair” have increased by 5,233 per cent, year on year. Meanwhile searches for “best skincare for men” and “how to shave your face” have gone up 175 per cent and 156 per cent, respectively, as men have started investing more time and energy in their daily grooming habits.
