Energy management and automation company Schneider Electric and business IT firm Intelli-Systems have worked on a micro data service solution to provide management and support services for the NSW Aboriginal Land Council.
Schneider Electric in partnership with Intelli-Systems has developed a micro data centre as a service solution for the NSW Aboriginal Land Council.
Schneider Electric’s service model delivers micro data centres without the need to own, operate, or maintain power, cooling, and integrated IT Server Racking systems. It responds to the growing global trend to manage consumption rather than own the assets.

Council, residents discuss controversial anti-mask demonstrations

Anti-mask protesters gather at Resistance Corner Dec. 20 in downtown Belfast.
Belfast — Residents appeared to be split at a Feb. 2 City Council meeting about the rights of Sunday protesters demonstrating against masks and other state coronavirus mandates on Resistance Corner, the intersection of High and Main streets.
Some residents were concerned that the protesters, most of whom do not wear masks while demonstrating, are putting other people walking downtown at risk of contracting the virus and are harassing them. Others said they have made it a point to avoid downtown during the demonstrations, which could negatively impact businesses in the area.

How the Army and Navy Won the First Battle of Desert Storm

Editor's note: This story has been updated to correct some details on aircraft and weapon types.
On Jan. 24, 1991, a U.S.-led international coalition won the first battle of Operation Desert Storm, the effort to free Kuwait after its invasion and annexation by Iraq, with the coordinated efforts of the Army and Navy.
The Oliver Hazard Perry-class frigate USS Curts had been in the area since the previous October as part of the Midway battle group out of its homeport in Yokosuka, Japan. The Perry-class frigates, while lightly armed, were small, fast and maneuverable -- an asset in the shallow waters of the North Arabian Gulf, which was full of floating mines. The Curts had a shipboard complement of around 200 sailors. If the battle got hot, they were seen as more expendable, easier to lose than the much larger crew of a carrier, a destroyer or even one of the battleships called into duty for the conflict.
