Apr 28, 2021 A late Tuesday night incident has left two people dead on the South Side of Easton. Police were called to the Canal Park Apartments around 11:30 last night and when they arrived they found a man and a woman dead and another woman with a gunshot wound to the leg. Police say that woman was in a neighboring apartment and was hit when a bullet went through the wall. DA Terence Houck says police are not looking for anybody else who may have been involved in the incident and there s no danger to the public. Pennsylvania health officials say that 48-percent of Pennsylvanians have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. The state is ranked 10th in the nation for percent of population with at least one dose. State health officials aim to have 80-percent of Pennsylvanians vaccinated to reach herd immunity. ....

Each business may be awarded up to $5,000. In order to qualify, the business must have a storefront in Atascadero, be in good standing with the city, and demonstrate that they have been directly impacted by the stay-at-home orders. This includes food and beverage service, bar, brewery, winery, personal service, gym, dance studio, martial arts, family entertainment center, theater, or closely related businesses. The application period opens Thursday and ends Jan. 4 at noon. ....
