A Parker County jury Wednesday sentenced an Abilene woman to 99 years in prison and a $10,000 fine for possession of what she described in text messages as the âmother loadâ of a quarter pound of methamphetamine.
A Weatherford Police Department officer stopped a vehicle driven by Aubry Nicole Clevenger, 38, as she headed west on Fort Worth Highway in May, 2020, at 3:45 a.m., after he found that she had a warrant for her arrest. After she consented to a search of her car, the deputy located 110 grams of methamphetamine and $7,250 in cash.
Clevenger pled guilty to possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver charges on Monday and elected to have a jury assess her punishment.

The two aggravated sexual assault convictions and 45-year consecutive prison sentences a Joshua man was given by a Parker County jury in July 2019 were upheld Wednesday in a decision by the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals.
Patrick Edward Winchester, 44, was convicted for making two different 9-year-old girls perform oral sex on him, one in 2008 and another in 2012. Both occurred at his home in unincorporated Parker County near Reno and Springtown.
âWhen the girls came forward in 2017 and told law enforcement what had happened to them, their outcries were both graphic and remarkably similar,â said Parker County District Attorney Jeff Swain. âTheir credibility was apparent to the Parker County Sheriffâs Office investigator who worked on the case as well as the jury who heard their testimon
