Eighteen Virginia State Police personnel have achieved American Red Cross National Lifesaving Awards for Professional Responders, one of the organization’s highest honors.
The Red Cross awards are presented to professional responders and healthcare professionals who have saved or sustained a life as a direct result of Red Cross training.

RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - The Virginia Department of Transportation is issuing a travel warning to drivers due to weather and road conditions in the region.
Between midnight and 9 p.m. Thursday, Virginia State Police responded to 310 stuck/disabled vehicles and 442 traffic crashes on state highways.
VSP said the majority of the crashes have only involved damage to vehicles, but troopers are investigating a deadly single-vehicle crash in Caroline County. At this stage in the investigation, police do not think it was weather-related.

RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - Eighteen Virginia State Police personnel have received American Red Cross National Lifesaving Awards for Professional Responders.
The awards, which is one of the organization’s highest awards, are given to first responders and healthcare workers who have saved or sustained a life as a direct result of Red Cross training.
“Each of these dedicated members of Virginia State Police have not only upheld their pledge ‘to aid those in danger or distress,’ but they have also exemplified what it means to be part of an organization dedicated to the preservation of life,” said Colonel Gary T.
