Kotli [PoK], July 27 (ANI): Thousands of demonstrators hit the streets in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) to protest against the Pakistan army after reports of election manipulation emerged in the Pakistan-occupied Kashmir Legislative Assembly polls.
Open revolt was witnessed in PoK after Imran Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party (PTI) won 25 seats while the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) came second with 11 seats and the incumbent Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) secured just six seats.
The people were upset because of major interference by the PTI government in the election process of PoK which was conducted on July 25 in which clashes between the opposition parties were also reported.

Islamabad [Pakistan], July 27 (ANI): Amid allegations of poll rigging by the Opposition, Imran Khan-led Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) party has won 25 of 45 seats in Pakistan occupied Kashmir legislative assembly elections marred by deadly violence.
The PoK assembly has a total of 53 members but only 45 are directly elected.
The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) has won 25 general seats of Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) Legislative Assembly, followed by 11 seats won by the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), six by Pakistan Muslim League (N) (PML-N) and one each by two regional political parties in Sunday's polls, as per officially announcement made on Monday, as per Dawn report.

A most foul murder last week in Islamabad, the capital city, has shaken the nation and centred attention on taboo issues like psychological disorders, drug abuse, child upbringing and parenting.
Noor Mukadam, 27, the daughter of a former ambassador who served the country with distinction, fell victim to the brutality of a young man from one of Pakistan’s leading business families at his home in the presence of servants and some of his family members.
A leaked audio tape of the assessment of therapists, who are also his colleagues (since he himself had a licence for counselling), suggests that his doctors were called before the police arrived at the scene of the crime and they witnessed the alleged murders’ friends gathered around the house and acting all normal.

Islamabad [Pakistan], July 26 (ANI): Unofficial results show that Imran Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has won ten seats and leading in 15 constituencies in Pakistan occupied Jammu and Kashmir elections, Ary News has reported.
According to media reports, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Muslim Conference and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) have so far won one seat each in Legislative Assembly elections in PoK.
The counting of votes is still underway for elections which concluded on Sunday at 5 pm. Several incidents of poll-related violence were reported throughout the day for the hotly contested 45 seats.

Islamabad [Pakistan], July 26 (ANI): A Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) candidate, whose election camp was dismantled, has said that he would "seek India's help" if the local administration does not cooperate with him as the Legislative Assembly elections in Pakistan occupied Kashmir has been marred by violence.
While speaking to media in Gujranwala on Sunday, Choudhary Muhammad Ismail Gujjar from LA-35 Jammu-2, said his election camp was "dismantled" despite the presence of police personnel, Geo News reported.
The PML-N candidate had warned his party would "also cause problems" if the polling process did not continue peacefully. "The deputy commissioner had asked my polling agents to leave and threatened them," the PML-N candidate said. He had asked the government to take action, otherwise, unrest will ensue "and people will die".

Muzaffarabad [PoK], July 26 (ANI): Raja Farooq Haider, the so-called Prime Minister of Pakistan occupied Kashmir, reprimanded the Kashmiri people for what he called their 'slave mentality' after preliminary results of Legislative Assembly polls showed Imran Khan's party notching an easy win in the violence-marred elections.
Having been defeated by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in the polls on Sunday, infuriated Haider said the Kashmiri people are marred with the mentality of slavers for the past 250 years, Ary News reported.
The PoK assembly has a total of 53 members but only 45 are directly elected. According to the unofficial results cited by Geo News, PTI won by a simple majority of 24 seats.
