A video for âRecognitionâ debuted this morning, with singer/guitar player Chris Spencer sharing the experience that sparked the song: âDo you ever feel like youâre being watched? The inspiration for âRecognitionâ came from a time when I was at the Hong Kong International Airport. The track focuses on the advent of global surveillance and loss of personal privacy via facial recognition programs and data tracking. As our world becomes more connected weâre forfeiting our right to a private existence.â
SAN ANGELO A Dallas-area man requested a new defense attorney Wednesday after he had been in prison since his March 2019 arrest in the San Angelo cold case murder of Dovie Dykes.
About 9 a.m. Wednesday, March 10, 2021, Adolph Gonzales attended a hearing through Zoom in the 51st District Court. Gonzales, 63, has been in the Tom Green County jail since March 11, 2019.
The hearing was originally scheduled as a bond reduction hearing, but the court heard a motion to withdraw Gonzalo Rios, Gonzales attorney, from the case. Gonzales told Dusek he had not seen one bit of discovery since Rios took the case in January 2020.

Commissioners unanimously approved an amendment Thursday night at the Soddy Daisy Commission meeting which simplified wording to the city’s sign ordinance. The size of digital advertising signs is now specified to be no larger than 45 square feet.
The final reading for a zoning change to property at 155 and 157 Depot St. was also given approval. The tracts that are now zoned to R-2 Urban Residential were previously zoned R-2, A-1 Agricultural and C-2 Local Business. The owner expects to build three houses on the property.
