OTTAWA An Ottawa man has found a unique way to say thank you to front-line workers and he wants to raise awareness, hoping everyone will show their appreciation too. Mike Herzog is running 14 kilometres per day, everyday this May. “The reason 14 is so special is our front-line workers have been enduring COVID for 14 months,” he tells CTV News Ottawa. Seeing his wife on the front line, working at the hospital, he wanted to say thank you to all health-care workers. “They’re amazing people; they deserve our respect, our love, and our gratitude.” So, he’s thanking them one step at a time and running with a purpose. He leaves home early in the morning and arrives at the Ottawa Hospital General Campus and CHEO as staff are coming in for work or leaving after an overnight shift.

We are in familiar territory both in landscape and character when a car breaks down in the middle of nowhere with squabbling young student city types. The group decide to split up with a pair Taylor and Mike (Anne- Carolyne Binette and James Hicks) going to find the nearest garage while the other two Chris and Jenna (Frederik Storm and Julie Mainville) stay put. Natch there’s some playing away between the couples while there is danger lurking at the garage and in the forest.
