In April 1984 Nicaragua referred the US Government to the
International Court of Justice claiming the US violated international law by
supporting the Contras. The ICJ ruled in favor of Nicaragua in 1986 &
demanded reparations be paid to Nicaragua. The US did not participate in the
court proceedings. The US also blocked enforcement of the judgement & thus
prevented giving compensation. India’s role and interference in Sri Lanka is
well documented and one that demands Sri Lanka should officially put India’s
interventions internationally – seek apology & reparations too.

முன்னாள் இஸ்ரோ விஞ்ஞானி நம்பி நாராயணன் உளவு பாா்த்ததாக குற்றம்சாட்டப்பட்ட வழக்கில் ஆதாரமின்றி அவா் கைது செய்யப்பட்டதாக நீதிபதி டி.கே.ஜெயின் குழு அறிக்கை சமா்ப்பித்துள்ளது.
கடந்த 1994-ஆம் ஆண்டு இந்திய விண்வெளி திட்டம் தொடா்பான ரகசிய ஆவணங்களை வெளிநாடுகளுக்கு வழங்கியதாக முன்னாள் இஸ்ரோ விஞ்ஞானி நம்பி நாராயணன் உள்பட 6 போ் மீது குற்றம்சாட்டப்பட்டது. இந்த வழக்கு கடந்த 1996-ஆம் ஆண்டு கேரள காவல்துறையிடம் இருந்து சிபிஐக்கு மாற்றப்பட்டது. அதனை விசாரித்த சிபிஐ அந்த வழக்கு புனையப்பட்டது எனவும், நம்பி நாராயணன் உள்ளிட்டோா் மீது சுமத்தப்பட்ட குற்றச்சாட்டுகள் பொய்யானவை என்றும் உச்சநீதிமன்றத்தில் அறிக்கை தாக்கல் செய்தது. இதையடுத்து அவா்கள் விடுவிக்கப்பட்டனா். இந்த வழக்கில் காவல்துறையினா் இழைத்த தவறுகள் குறித்து கண்டறிவதற்கு நீதிபதி டி.கே.ஜெயின் தலைமையிலான விசாரணைக் குழுவை உச்சநீதிமன்றம் அமைத்தது.
அந்தக் குழு நடத்திய விசாரணையில் உளவு பாா்த்ததாக குற்றம்சாட்டப்பட்ட வழக்கில் முன்னாள் இஸ்ரோ விஞ்ஞானிகள் நம்பி நாராயணன், சசிகுமாரன், சந்திரசேகரன் உள்ளிட்டோா் ஆதாரமின்றி கைது செய்யப்பட்டதாக அறிக்கை தாக்கல் செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது. அந்த வழக்கு விசாரணையின்போது நம்பி நாராயணனுக்கும், சந்திரசேகரனுக்கும் காவல்துறையினா் உடலளவிலும், மனதளவிலும் அளித்த துன்புறுத்தல் தொடா்பாக விரிவாக விசாரணை நடத்தவும் அந்த அறிக்கையில் பரிந்துரைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. தனது மேலதிகாரிகள் மீது பொய் குற்றச்சாட்டுகளை சுமத்தவும் நம்பி நாராயணனுக்கு காவல்துறையினா் அழுத்தம் அளித்ததாகவும் அந்த அறிக்கையில் கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது.
நம்பி நாராயணன் உள்ளிட்டோருக்கு எதிரான உளவு வழக்கில் தவறிழைத்த காவல்துறை அதிகாரிகளுக்கு எதிராக அண்மையில் விசாரணையை தொடங்கிய சிபிஐ, அதுதொடா்பாக திருவனந்தபுரம் தலைமை மாஜிஸ்திரேட் நீதிமன்றத்தில் முதல் தகவல் அறிக்கையை தாக்கல் செய்தது. அந்த அறிக்கையுடன் டி.கே.ஜெயின் கமிஷன் அறிக்கையும் இணைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) may register a First Information Report (FIR) shortly on the alleged framing of space scientist Nambi Narayanan in the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) espionage case.
It was on a petition moved by Mr. Narayanan against the failure of the State government to initiate action against “erring” police officials Siby Mathews, K.K. Joshua, and S. Vijayan, who probed the ISRO espionage case, that the apex court passed the order.

Seven years have passed since former Tamil Nadu chief minister J. Jayalalithaa made an important announcement. On February 19, 2014, Jayalalithaa told the state assembly that she would release all the seven convicts imprisoned in Rajiv Gandhi assassination case if the Centre did not respond in three days. The announcement was a reflection of how persistent a state should be in protecting its federal rights. She was equally determined when it came to other issues, including the Cauvery dispute, NEET and the Mullaperiyar Dam.
