Carmen Milenkovic, the executive director of the Saskatchewan Arts Council, said concerns surrounding the COVID-19 Delta variant and employees’ comfort factored into extending its own mandatory masking policy until at least July 25. “I’m ready to get rid of the masks, theoretically,” Milenkovic said. “But I do recognize our staff, artists and a number of people on the street aren’t quite ready yet. I think we need to see some proof that it’s actually working.”
