Cyberpunk 2077 creators have warned players against installing a mod or using custom saves as a new vulnerability might pose a risk. In a tweet, CD Projekt Red said that people trying to go for mods and custom saves should "use caution" as the company has come to know about a vulnerability in the external DLL files that the game uses. This vulnerability might invite risks, such as hackers trying to execute code on PCs. This warning might spoil the fervour further after Cyberpunk 2077 players, who were enthusiastically waiting for the game before its launch, were left disappointed by the several glitches and withering issues.

“Crafting makes this issue happen very quickly if you craft way too many items. I used crafting to make money.”
Another added: “This was a problem in The Witcher 2 believe it or not. The size of your save folder dramatically increased your loading times and corrupted saves.”
The good news today is that this problem with big save files has been removed by CD Projekt, although it comes with the limitation that the problem can’t be removed.

Following the launch of Cyberpunk 2077 earlier this month, players have been reporting poor technical performance, partiuclarly on PS4 and Xbox One base consoles. Actions are now being taken by the console makers to address those concerns.
Developers CD Projekt Red first released a statement on December 14, four days after launch, acknowledging the issues on the base last-gen consoles and saying that they will be working with fans to process refunds. They also advised customers to ask for refunds with Sony/Xbox directly for those who bought it digitally.
