King visits vaccination centre in Kuala Lumpur

KUALA LUMPUR: Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah visited the Kuala Lumpur Health Clinic, which is both a vaccine storage centre and vaccination centre. The King was welcomed by Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba, Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah and with Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya Federal Territories Health director Datuk Dr P. Preparations underway for vaccinations in several States

KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 23): Many States have been busy making proper preparations for the first day of the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme tomorrow, including ensuring the storage facilities are all set to receive the vaccines. In Perak, Sultan Nazrin Shah himself visited the Indera Mulia Stadium in Ipoh, one of the vaccination centres in the State, ahead of the immunisation programme which will start on March 1. Menteri Besar Datuk Saarani Mohamad said 60% out of 34,743 listed frontliners in Perak have agreed to receive the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine shots, while the rest disagreed on various reasons such as bad allergies, pregnant or recently got married and plan to have a child.

Perak, Johor ready for first phase immunisation

IPOH: Perak Mentri Besar Datuk Saarani Mohamad will be among the first to get the Covid-19 vaccine in phase 1 of the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme, along with 33,503 frontliners in the state. State exco members would also be vaccinated in the first phase, said Perak health committee chairman Mohd Akmal Kamarudin. “Perak is expected to receive some 79,560 doses of the vaccine. Forty-nine vaccination centres are prepared, including Stadium Indera Mulia, ” he said. “Priority will be given to those in the red zone, followed by yellow and green, ” he added. Registration for the public begins in March at government or private clinics, via MySejahtera or at www.vaksinCovid.gov.my.
