Cow is sacred for Hindus, but the same is being slaughtered in this land, the strikers said. Many said at the hunger strike, “Until it is not declared as National Animal, protecting it will not be possible."

Hyderabad: Telangana’s tigers, besides killing innocent villagers in the districts, might have to take a look at the city affairs. A day-long hunger strike called Gau Mahadharna was organised at the Indira Park here on Monday (December 21), demanding that the holy cow be declared as the National Animal of India.
